Forbes Global Properties is looking for a Freelance Editor to work with us in a part-time, remote capacity 20-30 hours per week. We are particularly interested in editors who have experience working with real estate, travel and lifestyle content.

What does this team do?

Forbes Global Properties’ team of content producers works to publish engaging editorial content for our website and dedicated section on Forbes.com. They’re a lively crew of highly motivated, innovative, versatile individuals capable of developing new ideas and editorial strategies from start to finish.

What is the role? 

The Forbes Global Properties team is looking for an editor with a keen eye for detail, planning and storytelling. You will be working with a team of veteran writers—many former journalists with decades of newsroom experience—that will make Forbes Global Properties the top destination for content related to luxury real estate. You will work with writers to strengthen their prose and ensure all content is accurate and easy to digest.

Core responsibilities:

  • Edit content to ensure accuracy and fact-check property details, names, data
  • Work closely with writers to refine and elevate content
  • Work closely with individual members to develop content initiatives for select markets
  • Monitor breaking stories, industry trends and key reports for content topics

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience working as a writer/editor
  • Adaptability and responsiveness to feedback
  • Strong familiarity with real estate content
  • Copy-editing, spelling and grammar whiz
  • Sense of humor and collaborative attitude

Compensation: This role will be paid hourly at a rate of $35-$45 USD.
