Initialized Capital, an early stage venture capital firm with more than $3.2B assets under management, is hiring a head of talent to join our team. We are the earliest investors in 25 unicorns, some of which include Coinbase, Instacart, Flexport, Rippling, Standard Cognition, and Blend. The startups in our portfolio are worth over $200B in market value today. And we're grateful that our managing partner, Garry Tan, has been recognized by the Forbes Midas List the last five years in a row.We are excited to find a dynamic person with a sophisticated understanding of the talent needs of venture-backed early stage startups, a strong talent network, and the desire to help drive the growth of a top-tier venture capital firm and our portfolio companies.A key component of our value proposition is to support our portfolio companies and founders to hire, develop and retain the industry’s most talented people. The head of talent will be a key part of this value prop by teaching our founders how to recruit top talent and by helping them build enviably strong teams capable of surmounting any challenge that lies ahead. It’s important to note that this role isn’t strictly a recruiting role in the traditional sense, but one of strategically fostering relationships for the long term benefit of Initialized portfolio companies. We are looking for someone to build and cultivate Initialized’s talent strategy, programs, and network.We are committed to hiring a diverse team and building an inclusive, equitable culture. This full-time position has the option of being fully remote and also needs to have deep networks in the West Coast/Bay Area and/or NYC. It’s a plus if the candidate is based out of the San Francisco or NYC area.Please note: This is not an investment-track position.
